Leslie Milo Krob

June 18, 1925 — August 30, 2018

Leslie M. Krob was born June 18, 1925 on a farm northwest of Aline, OK to Clarence and Viola Krob. He spent all of his childhood days on this farm and always enjoyed the outdoors. He recalls many days of fun riding his favorite pony and hunting for rabbits, quail and ducks. He attended Aline elementary and high school for 12 years and graduated in 1943. His favorite sport was baseball. He graduated from the University of Northern Oklahoma and pursued many more credits of higher education including University of Denver, C.U.- Denver; Bozeman, Montana; Bellingham, Washington (3 summers National Science Grants); U. of Wichita, Kansas (atomic age physics); Phillips University, Enid OK. He completed the BS degree in mathematics and industrial arts. The masters degrees included one in education and one in mathematics.

On August 4, 1946 he was married to Dorothy Lee Peck at her childhood farm home. To this union 2 sons Scotty and Gregory were born.

Leslie taught in Oklahoma, Kansas and finished in Denver, CO in 1989 after 30 years in the Denver Public Schools, including more than 25 years at Thomas Jefferson High School. He, with his family, became members of University Park

Methodist Church and later transferred to Grace United Methodist Church.

He enjoyed reading, hiking, exercise and playing games, especially bridge. He and his wife played as partners in bridge tournaments. Square dancing was a hobby that he and his wife did with the Classics Exhibition square dance group and entertained at many nursing home facilities. He was a family person. He loved his two sons and their families-being very proud of all of them. He always enjoyed getting together with them for meals or traveling with them.

After retirement, he and his wife moved from their home in southeast Denver to the retirement home in Heather Gardens where they lived for 19 years. They were active in most all of their classes and made many new friends. In 2010 they moved to Holly Creek where he resided until his death.

He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dorothy Lee Krob; his sister Winnie Fay Melrose of Helena, OK; two sons Gregory O. Krob (Laura) of Brush, CO.; Scotty P. Krob (Jan) of Greenwood Village, CO.; five grandsons; Neil Krob of Farmington, NM, Dan Krob of Lone Tree, CO, Matthew Krob of Highlands Ranch, CO, Alan Krob of Brush, CO, and Nathan Krob of Centennial, CO; one great granddaughter, Madison Krob; and Seven great grandsons, Alex Krob, Dylan Krob, Milo Krob, Tristan Krob, Caden Krob, Coby Krob, and Zachary Krob.

Preceding him in death were his parents-Clarence and Viola Krob; two brothers (Leo and Vernon); and one sister (Virginia). Leslie went to meet his Savior on August 30, 2018 at Holly Creek. A celebration of his life will be held at Holly Creek Senior Community, 5500 E. Peakview Ave., Centennial, CO at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018. Interment will be at Good Hope Cemetery, Helena, Oklahoma.
