Lester Charles Bigalk, age 88, passed away at Life Care Center of Aurora Colorado on July 1st, 2019.
Lester was born on January 7th, 1931 in Cresco, Iowa. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1952-1954 as an Air Traffic Controller. Upon his honorable discharge from the US Navy, Lester completed his Bachelors of Arts degree in City Planning from the University of Iowa.
Lester was self-employed as a general contractor until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and the local Elks Lodge.
Lester is survived by his brother, Vernon (Karen), and sons Greg (Brenda) of Seattle, WA; Matt of Centennial, CO; Brad (Roberta) of Zillah, WA; and Daniel of Denver. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Monica, Morgan, James, Colton, Chaz, Megan, and Frankie. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar and Mary; brother, Rueben; and daughter Camille.
Lester loved his children and grandchildren. Most of all he loved the Lord Jesus Christ and is in His eternal peace and glory.
Interment will be held at 10:15am, July 26th at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Staging Area âCâ. Relatives and friends are invited to join the family at the interment.
