Lester Dean Pedicord

Lester will be remembered fondly by family and friends. Lester passed away at the age of 86, Saturday, February 24, 2018. He is survived by his loving wife, Jean, and his 3 children Jill (John) Peterson, Britt (Cece), Julie (Jim) Adams, 5 grandchildren Sarah Peterson, Maddie and Britt Adams, Nellie and Jem Pedicord, and his sister Jennie Moore. Proceeded in death by his sisters Corrine Amato and JoAnn Pedicord. Les was born in Raymore, Missouri to Lester and Virginia Pedicord. His youth revolved around training and showing American Saddlebreds. He graduated from East High School in Denver. An avid baseball player, he attended University of Denver receiving a B.S. in Accounting and his MBA and stayed an active alumnus. Lester’s dedication to work and service was commendable. After serving in the US Army in Japan, then he started a family. For 40 years he ran a private CPA firm, followed by his own investment advisory firm, until retirement at 82 years old. Lester chartered with 25 others the University Hills Rotary, one of his proudest achievements. As a member of Colorado Society of CPAs, he served on many committees and as President. He was an Elder at Wellshire Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed many years as a member of Denver Country Club, also as President. Forty years of his life he rode and served a term as President for the Round-up Riders of the Rockies (RRR), and the (RRR) Heritage and Trails. Services will be held on March, 9 at 2 PM.
