Lester L. ""Pappy"" Williams

Lester L. ""Pappy"" Williams, 81, passed away on Sunday, July 15, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Itta Bena, MS but lived and traveled all over the world. He is the son to the late Noel Herbert and Lillie Belle Williams. Lester was a United States Air Force veteran and proudly served his country for over twenty years before he retired. He continued his service as the swimming pool director at Fitzsimmons Army Base for 17 years, and then went on to work for the City of Aurora in the parks and recreation department.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his siblings, Noel Herbert Williams, Jr., Ira Malcolm Williams, Phillip Marlin ""Buddy"" Williams, Gladys Marie Peebles, Vera Mae Poss and two brothers who died at birth.

He leaves behind his wife of 49 years, Pamela C. Williams; daughter, Sharon A. Cline and her husband, Greg; grandchildren, Courtney O'Brien and her husband, Justin, and Alexandra Masse and her significant other, Francesco Arlotta; great grandchildren, Kiela and Addison O'Brien; and a sister, Margurette Scott Donald. Eight nieces and 6 nephews also survive.

A memorial service for Mr. Lester L. ""Pappy"" Williams will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Monday, July 23, 2018, in the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO 80014. A procession will commence immediately following the service to Fort Logan National Cemetery for a military committal that begins at 2:15 at staging area C. Active pallbearers will be Greg Cline, Justin O'Brien, Francesco Arlotta and James Grieve.
