Lila Ruth Pepe

Lila Ruth Pepe, 83, passed away of natural causes on Nov. 14, 2023. She was predeceased by her loving husband of almost 56 years, Henry; and is survived by daughter Laura (Giles); daughter Andrea (Andrew); son James (Cyndi). Seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren loved her as their GG.

Lila grew up in Kansas and attended Emporia State Teachers College where she met and married Henry in 1962. After residing for several years in Iowa and Kansas, they moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1971. Lila spent many years at home with children, and then went back to teaching and earned her Masters Degree.

She loved spending her retirement years playing golf with the ladies at Arroyo Del Oso Golf Course, and playing cards at the Duke City Bridge Club. In 2018, they moved to the Denver area where she spent many happy hours spending time with family, and participating in bridge games, Wii games and book club with friends.

No services are planned at this time, but Lila will be interred with Henry at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
