Linda Diana Deming

Linda Diana Deming died February 17, 2009, at the age of 63, at Brookside Inn Care Center in Castle Rock, Colorado, after battling ALS for a little over a year. Linda was born, the oldest of five children, on October 10, 1945. Their family lived in Lakewood, CO while the children were growing up and enjoyed vacation time together traveling to most of the western U.S. and into Canada. They enjoyed family gatherings during holidays and other special times when aunts, uncles and cousins would visit. The family joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in September, 1955. Linda married Timothy Runyan in the Manti Temple. They had 3 children together – Hallie, Troy and Justin. They later divorced March 3, 1975. Linda met David T. Deming at the singles branch in Denver in 1975. They where married November 14, 1975. Dave adopted Hallie, Troy and Justin on June 21, 1976 and then where sealed in the Manti Temple on April 10, 1977. Linda worked as medical secretary for many years in the Denver metro area. Her hobbies where reading, gardening, ceramics and singing with the Colorado Mormon Chorale. She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Denver, Lakewood, Arvada, Colorado Springs and Parker. She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Earl Steinshouer, Jr. (9/16/93), Mina Louise Young Steinshouer (2/17/91 - which is 18 years to the day that Linda passed away); and her aunt Mildred Edith Young Aday. She is survived by her husband David T. Deming; step-son Dean & Tiffany Deming of Reno, NV; daughter Hallie & Chuck Springer of Firestone, CO; son Troy & Chris Deming of Germany; son Justin & Allison Deming of Virginia; daughter Stacie & Wade Larson of Parker, CO; son Seth & Linda Deming of Rexburg, ID; son Drew Deming of Rexburg, ID; 15 grandchildren: Conner Springer (17), Cameron Springer (15), Corbin Springer (11), Talbert Deming (10), Austin & Allan Larson (9), Dawn Springer (8), Ethan Deming (7), Ashley Springer (7), Caylee Springer (5), Foster Deming (4), and Oliver Deming (1); her siblings: Janet & Brent Barlow of Golden, CO; Brian & Sarah Steinshouer White of Lakewood, CO; Aimee Freestone of Fort Collins, CO; and Brent Steinshouer of Aurora, CO; and many other extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Sunday, February 22, 2009 from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (just one block to the west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado. Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 23, 2009 beginning at 11:00 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Alkire Building, 12995 West 72nd Avenue, in Arvada, Colorado.
