Lady Linda Rose Haugse
September 20, 1954 – March 12, 2024.
It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Linda Rose Haugse. Linda is, in fact, an actual and official Lady, owning a small parcel of land in Scotland to support the title. Our mom wore it well.
Linda was born in Omaha, Nebraska to Rose Jennings and Clifford Harck. There, she attended Central High School, where she met her future husband, Pat Haugse. After the birth of their son Jeremiah and their twins, Jo Anna and Juliet, they moved west to Colorado seeking work and better opportunities. Linda cared for their three young children while completing her degree at Regis University and working full-time at Ball Corporation. Linda would remain with Ball for the next 43 years.
Linda was an avid gardener who loved anything that bloomed, growing a sprawling field of flowers that encircled her large backyard. She was a natural at nurturing and nourishing things. She also loved to sew and provided quilts to family and friends for all occasions, spreading love and comfort.
Although not a regular churchgoer, Linda was a believer in Jesus Christ. She frequently related happy memories of her childhood when she would take the neighborhood church bus to bible camp and spend time worshipping with friends.
Finally, Linda loved family. She was a proud and happy grandmother to three wonderful human beings – Brody, Payton, and Fisher. She was always taking care to spend time with each one in a way that was purposeful to their individual needs and personalities.
Linda lived a great life. She loved and was loved by many, and she left behind wonderful memories.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents Rose and Clifford Harck and her younger brother Dale Harck. She is survived by her brothers Don Harck (Cindy) and Jim Harck (Gail), children, Jeremiah Haugse (Jill), Jo Anna Compton (Patrick), and Juliet Wooley (Shane) as well as three grandchildren, Brody Haugse, Payton Shuler, and Fisher Haugse.
Please join us to celebrate Linda’s life on Saturday, March 23rd at noon at the Church Ranch Event Center 10200 Wadsworth Boulevard, Westminster, CO 80021. There will be a short service at noon followed by lunch and drinks.
