Linda Kay Hessler

December 3, 1951 — November 17, 2018

Linda was a mom, grandmother, friend, lover and wife and had a great love for God and Jesus. Linda was born December 3rd, 1951 in canon city, Colorado. She loved horses, animals, people, a lapful of puppies, teddy bears, indian dolls, old movies, Christian movies and hymns, laughing and growing rocks. Linda loved her family, the mountains, Colorado and eventually Nebraska even though her heart was always in Colorado.

Linda always tried to find and or see the good in people and had a very forgiving heart.

In life Linda was a restaurant manager, assistant grocery store manager, beautician, and a psych tech. She loved working with challenged children the most, often times breaking the rules to get those children birthday cakes and a present of something that the child wanted. At Christmas time she would make sure we always got 2 names a boy and a girl from the tree at the bank of children that were in need.

There were many times we would see someone holding a sign that said will work for food and she would dig around in her purse and my billfold for money than have me get turned around and give whatever we had to that person in need and she was always rewarded with a smile and a heartfelt thank you and that pleased her very much and she felt that we had done the right thing.

Linda loved garage sales and a good deal, often times sneaking little knick knacks into the house because I had told her to please not cram another thing into the house, but she so enjoyed doing it anyway. She made our home a home always arranging things than rearranging them until she was satisfied. There were numerous times where I would just get to know where everything was in the kitchen than she would move it. I believe she got a kick out of doing this to me, but that was my Linda.

Linda loved talking on the phone to friends and family and sometimes that would be for over an hour, how in this world can one find so much to talk about. Sometimes the phone calls were someone calling to unload all their problems unto her and never took the time to ask her how she was doing, this hurt her a great deal.

She loved her children, grandchildren family and friends and was always praying for them and when a loved one passed on she would get depressed, cry and asked me to pray with her for them never thinking of. Her pain but of the pain that her loved one was going through.

Many people never knew of all her suffering and pain. Fibromyalgia, depression, broken neck , arthritis, broken leg, broken wrist and hand, and several concussions but God helped her get through it all and bear the burden. She was a God fearing woman and would often times have me read scripture or devotionals to her because she loved having me read to her.

Linda was so excited to go to Colorado this last time November 16th, 2018, she was going to be with family and friends and be there for our grandson's birthday, but on the morning of November 17th, 2018 God had other plans for her and he called her home. Now she doesn't have all that pain and heartache, now this beautiful woman sits on the right hand of Jesus where she belongs and has everlasting beauty and joy.

Linda was my everything, my 80%, she made me whole, she gave the best of all she had to give and sacrificed much, Linda will be sadly missed by all those that considered her as family and friend and will be in our hearts, minds and prayers forever.

~A fitting tribute written by Linda's loving husband Tim.

In our times of deepest need

We experience the reality of

The tenderness and grace of Christ for who alone but Jesus

Can bring us comfort and assurance with his all-embracing love

Who can understand our sorrows and wipe away our tears

Who can give assurance and hope that one day we will understand more clearly the things that are mysteries to us now

Who alone but Christ
