Linda Lea McKelvie

Linda L. McKelvie, 64, passed from this life on Saturday, November 30, 2019, at her home in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. Funeral services will be held at Friday, December 13 at 5:00 pm.

Private family graveside service will be Saturday in Colorado Springs.

Linda was born January 25, 1955 in Webster City, Iowa, to John W. and Evelyn J. (Kuhn) Stecher. Graduated from Hoover High School Des Moines, Iowa in 1973 and University of Iowa, Iowa City, in 1977. Linda married David McKelvie on June 5, 1982 in Colorado Springs where they made their home for several years. The McKelvies moved to the Denver area where they raised their daughter.

Her careers included being a Recreational Therapist at Brady Hospital and Penrose Hospital in Colorado Springs. A Computer Analyst at Penrose Hospital and Centura Health in Denver. She left her career in 2006 to be home full time with Shannon during her teenage years.

She liked English horseback riding, skiing, counted cross stitch, dogs, entertaining and playing cards. She loved spending time with friends and family.

Linda is survived by her husband David McKelvie, daughter Shannon McKelvie, sister Becky (Hugh) Smart of Chicago, Il, and brother David (Kelly) Stecher of Des Moines, IA. Linda was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial contributions may be made to Rocky Mountain Multiple Sclerosis Center.
