In Memory of Linda Mullen

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Mullen. Linda passed away on October 30, 2023 at the age of 60. Linda was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt and great aunt who left this world with her friendship, kindness, exuberant laughter and witty personality. She touched the lives of many with her warm heart and deep faith.
Linda was born on May 26, 1963 in Fort Collins, Colorado to Lawrence and Rozella Mullen. She attended Fletcher Miller School. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Mullen. Linda is survived by her mother, Rozella Mullen with whom she shared a very close bond. She is also survived by her sister, Joni; brother-in-law Steven; nieces Mallory (Bobby), Bethany; nephew, Christian; great-nephew Caleb; great-niece Grace.
Linda touched many lives in a profound way. She was born with Cerebral Palsy and carried the cross of being disabled for her entire life. She never gave up on her profound faith. There were many things that she couldn't do. She couldn't walk. She couldn't use her arms to feed herself nor roll over in bed. She couldn't do many things that other people take for granted every day. When others looked at her, they saw the things she couldn't do but that is not what we saw. We saw the things that she could do. She made a difference in the lives of others. For instance, she communicated with the deaf community by learning sign language. She could smile and laugh. She inspired others to forget their minor aches and pains. She taught others to be happy because she took joy in the simple things - joy in seeing her family, joy in watching sporting events such as the Denver Broncos, and Mass on the television. She thoroughly enjoyed the  friendship at her day programs. The delight of her life was when she was chosen to meet Pope John Paul II when he visited Denver. She also participated in numerous Special Olympics events when she was younger and worked as a greeter at Walmart for 10 years. Linda lived life as the only way she knew it. We will be forever grateful and blessed to have experienced life through her eyes.
The family would like to express a deep gratitude to the many caretakers who cared for Linda. We greatly appreciate your dedication. 
A Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 10:00 am and the Funeral Mass with a reception following will be held at 11:00 am at St. Jude Catholic Church, 9405 West Florida Avenue, Lakewood, Colorado. A private Committal will be held at Fort Logan Cemetery at a later date.
