Linda Paulson

August 31, 1948 — September 27, 2023

August 31,1948 – September 27,2023

Linda was born in San Gabriel, California to William and Barbara Sinclair, the eldest of three children. She grew up in Pasadena, graduating from California State University at Los Angeles with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing. On December 14, 1968 she married her loving and faithful husband Randy, a pastor whose ministry would take them across the country. Together they raised their sons Mark and Stephen, who provided them with seven beautiful grandchildren. Linda reveled in the joy of her family and the love of Jesus her Savior.

Linda enjoyed a diverse 30 year career as a Registered Nurse. Her first and favorite job was with Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles. Ranging from rural midwest hospitals to various settings in Rhode Island, she cared skillfully for a wide variety of patients. When she and Randy moved to Seattle in 1999, back pain caused her to give up nursing for a second career as a book keeper.

Linda faithfully served churches alongside Randy in Mayville & Bismarck, North Dakota, Cranston, Rhode Island, and Seattle, Washington. Her extraordinary gift of hospitality aided the mission of these churches to share the love and grace of God with all. She was deeply loved.

After the death of her mother, Barbara, in Vancouver, Washington, she and Randy moved to Westminster, Colorado to be near their sons and families.

She and Randy enjoyed camping with their sons, from North Dakota State Parks in an Apache fold out trailer to the eastern seaboard in a Nomad travel trailer. Their Nomad moved with them to Seattle and was their home away from home for many years, allowing them to richly enjoy Family Bible Camp at Warm Beach and getaways around the Pacific Northwest. Upon moving to Colorado they upgraded to a Catalina Coachmen and enjoyed it as long as she was able.

Linda is survived by her husband (Randall Paulson), her two sons and wives (Mark and Beth) (Stephen and Sue), seven grandchildren (Eden, Kate, Ashley, William, Luke, Leah, and Benjamin), her two brothers and wives (Craig and Monica) (David and Lori) and their children.

Her sudden death as the result of a tragic fall was devastating to her family, and yet we see God’s mercy carrying us in each moment. We embrace God’s promise in Romans 5:1, “Since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ!” May we all continue in that faith alone, trusting Jesus and not ourselves. Linda lived this truth, dwelling daily in God’s Word and praying for her family and all her friends. Blessed be her memory!!!
