Linda Gayle Sellers Rice

Linda Gayle Sellers Rice, age 85 died in assisted living in Castle Rock Colorado on September 23, 2024. She was a devoted wife of the late William John Rice and is survived by her two children, Terri Suzanne (Rice) Tegart and Murray Carl Rice and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Martha. 

Linda was a graduate of the University of Florida and earned a BA in Elementary Education. She worked for the Florida School System for 30 years as a third-grade schoolteacher before retiring in 2002. Linda was a 6th generation Minorcan from the colony founded in New Smyrna Beach Florida in the 1700’s. She was also a devoted follower of Jesus Christ and served her church and community well during her lifetime. Linda loved classical music, camping, singing and travel, but mostly her family. 

Burial services will take place at Ft Logan National Cemetery in Denver on Tuesday, October 22 at 10 a.m. Memorial Services will take place at Calvary Church in Aurora at 11:30 a.m. immediately after the graveside ceremony. Flowers can be sent to Calvary Church 18900 E Hampden Ave, Aurora, CO 80013.
