Linda Kay Sherrill, age 73, passed away in her home in Centennial, Colorado on September 14th, 2020. Linda succumbed to complications from her battle with cancer. Linda was born on July 19th, 1947 in Ogallala, Nebraska to Harold and Marjorie Steffen. The Steffen family moved to Castle Rock, Colorado in 1957 and a year later to Littleton, Colorado.
Linda graduated from Littleton High School in 1965 and moved on to attend Colorado State University – Central Business College. Linda was married to Charles Ronald Sherrill on April 14th, 1967 until Ron’s death in 2017. She worked for South Denver Cardiology Associates for 30 years, taking an early retirement in 2009 to care for her grandson Bodey.
Linda is survived by her son Charles “Chuck” Sherrill of Centennial, Colorado, her son and daughter in law, John and Lysa Sherrill of Castle Pines, Colorado, granddaughter Evan Boscia of San Diego, California, and grandson Bodey Sherrill of Castle Pines, Colorado. Linda is also survived by her brother and sister in law, Bill and Carol Steffen, brothers in law Rudy Glick and Larry Sherrill, sisters in law Linda Frost and Cathy Harper, and numerous other nephews, nieces, and cousins.
Linda was preceded in death by her sister Carol Glick and brothers in law Dennis Main, Mark Harper, and Jim Frost.
Services will be held at 11:00 on September 28th, 2020 at Horan and McConaty (5303 E. County Line Rd. in Centennial, Colorado). Linda will be laid to rest with her husband, Ron at Ft. Logan National Cemetery at 1:15.
Following Linda’s Ft. Logan ceremony, family and friends are welcome to attend a reception to honor Linda at John and Lysa’s home located at 12357 Montano Ct. in Castle Pines.
