Linda Mae Voigt, 81, passed away at Life Care Center of Evergreen on Monday November 20th, 2017 of COPD. She was born on June 5th, 1936 in Marshalltown, Iowa. Her family later moved to Alma, Nebraska, where she went to school and graduated in 1954. She then married her high school sweetheart, Frank Voigt. They had two daughters. She became a widow at 33. She moved to Denver, Colorado in 1966 to be close to her sister, and chose to raise her daughters in Denver. She had been a Waitress, and later became a seamstress. She loved to sew for her daughters and went on to have her own business in sewing. She later became an Administrative Assistant for the Federal Government. She loved country music, and loved to dance. She was also a member of the American Legion. Linda is survived by her two daughters Cindy Vigil and Vicki Sandmeier (Todd); grandchildren Robert Vigil, Jesse Vigil, Francine Vigil, Sam Vigil, Krista Halevy, Deena Sandmeier; 12 great-grandchildren and sister Nancy Lash. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 2nd, 2017 3:00pm at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227. Reception to follow.
