The world has lost a very, very special person. Lindsey Michelle Alexander Scott passed away suddenly and unexpectedly early the morning of July 12th. Lindsey was born May 14, 1987 to her loving parents, Tim and Becky Alexander. Her big sister Emily would often and confidently announce that she and Lindsey were born exactly 3 years, 4 days and 26 minutes apart. Growing up in Aurora, Lindsey enjoyed many activities and hobbies including soccer, Beanie Babies and raising hamsters. She loved country music and would often be found enjoying time with her friends â keeping in close contact with many of them throughout her adult life. Lindsey graduated from Smoky Hill High School in 2005 and attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley where she met her husband Doug Scott. They joined in marriage September of 2011 in Fort Collins and lived in Loveland till moving to Aurora in 2012. The two of them pursued their dreams side-by-side and often retreated to the solitude of fishing â an activity that they both enjoyed together. Doug and Lindsey were both looking forward to raising their family, at the time of her passing Lindsey was carrying their first child. Lindsey and her parents had the uncommon joy of working together professionally. She had worked with Tim at Panache Catering and currently was pursuing a career alongside Becky at Allstate. Lindsey often kept two jobs, including being a pharmacy tech for almost 10 years, mostly because she enjoyed her coworkers. Those who she worked with knew Lindsey to be industrious, dependable and dedicated. Those who knew Lindsey well knew her to be caring, considerate and selfless. Lindsey was a bright, shining star and though she departed early, she leaves an unforgettable legacy of love and an amazing spirit of generosity, kindness and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Monday, July 18, 2016 beginning at 1:00 in the afternoon at Word of Life Christian Center, 8700 Park Meadows Dr., in Lone Tree.
