Lionel soon met his sweetheart, while she was in college in California dating for several months. He was united in holy matrimony to Mary Ann Briscoe. They were married 53 years. Casey Jr. from the United States Army, along with five decorative medals during his tour in Vietnam.

He loved to mimic Smokey Robinson (singer and songwriter’s) voice. He loved oldies but goodies and jazz music. His favorite colors were yellow and red. He was a true believer in the Lord, Jesus Christ.
