Lisa Brennan Holloway, age 56, of Aurora CO, passed away peacefully in her sleep April 14, 2015 after a brief battle with a rare form of cancer. Lisa came into the world February of 1959 in Pontiac, Michigan. She was the first daughter born to parents Peter and Eleanore Brennan, becoming one of their seven children. She and her six siblings were raised in Sunnyvale, CA where she graduated from Peterson High School. Lisa began working in the telecommunications industry where she developed lifelong friendships. Lisa married at the age of 21 to Robert Holloway, becoming a wonderful stepmother to his daughter Amanda, and later giving life to her ""two amazing children"" Katelin and Brett. Her job soon brought her to Colorado where she fell in love with the state, and especially the snow. She went on to drive the buses, light rail trains, and eventually became a division supervisor for the Regional Transportation District (RTD) of Denver. Lisa's most treasured passion revolved around her sewing machine. She began sewing at the age of 6 and never stopped. Her projects ranged from formal wear to silly Halloween costumes. Favorite pieces included a complete Marge Simpson makeover, renaissance outfits and Dr. Seuss inspired nursery bedding. She also loved to travel with good company, especially to National Parks, preferring the journey to the destination. While she enjoyed adventure, it was time with her family that she cherished above all. Lisa was a proud mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, and friend. She is survived by her parents Peter and Eleanore Brennan, her children Katelin (Nathan) Gabelman, Brett Holloway, Amanda (Ron) Crouch, and her grandson Skyler Gabelman. She will also be missed by her brothers Tim (Rebecca) Brennan, Kevin (Karen) Brennan, Dion (Catherine) Brennan, Daniel (Yelena) Brennan, Loretta Baxter, John (Christine) Brennan as well as fifteen nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015, 11:00am at Horan and McConaty located at 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave Aurora, CO 80014. Reception to follow at the HeartLight reception center within the same premises. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcomed in Lisa's name to: Your favorite National Park.
