Swoboda, Lloyd J. 1929 â 2013 Our amazing husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend passed away on January 17, 2013. Lloyd was born in Howells, NE. He attended and graduated from Clarkson High School in 1948. Lloyd served in the US Air Force expecting to travel the world but was stationed at Offutt Air Force base, which was only 80 miles from home! He married Terry in 1950. When he was discharged from the Air Force in 1952, they moved to Colorado. He had many interests throughout his life. He enjoyed do-si-do-ing when he square danced; yelling ""Eureka"" when he found treasures as he metal detected and panned for gold; discovering what was around the next bend or over the mountain as he hiked and fished with his kids and grandkids; but his favorite past time was gardening. He was renowned for his tomatoes and hot peppers. Lloyd is survived by his 5 children, Sandy (Ken), Tom, Debi, Kim (Hank), and Roxy (Josh). His 9 grandchildren Anthony (Michelle), Bree (Trevor), Tawn, Cole, Corie (Keith), Charla, Kyle, Keller and Perry. His 7 great grandchildren Jacob, Seth, Ashwin, Mason, Addisyn, Asher and Kylee. His sister Audrey, brother Glenn, and sister-in-law Jan. He is loved and will be missed. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, 12:00 PM, at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80227. A Reception will be held directly following the Memorial Service. Memorial Donations in Lloyd's name may be made to a charity of your choice.
