Lohren Matthew Thompson climbed the mountain into heaven to join his heavenly Father on August 8, 2010. Born January 21, 1926 in Sutherland, Nebraska to Anna and John Thompson. He passed away in his Estes Park home. Lohren was a leader in the oil industry with over 50 years experience and owned Colorado Petroleum. He was a veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife Shirley in Loveland, his children son Terrance, (wife Janice), daughter Sheila (husband Pat), son Clark (wife Judy), sister Marcine from Phoenix, brother Pat of Willard, Co. six grandchildren and 3 great grand children, ex-wives Dorothy Carver and Ruth Stammer, preceded in death by his father, John, mother Anna, brother Elmo, son-in-law Charles Ingram and two Grandsons Travis and Jacob Thompson, and his niece Michele Tridle of Phoenix. Services to be held Friday August 13, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at Horan & Mc Conaty at 9998 Grant St., Thornton, Co. In lieu of flowers contributions to the American Legion or American Heart Association.
