Lois Elaine Fouts

February 3, 1928 — November 4, 2011

Lois Elaine Fouts, the daughter of Walter & Lillian (Thede) Goettsch, was born on February 3, 1928 near Holstein, Iowa. She passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the age of 83 in Aurora, Colorado.

Lois attended schools in the Holstein, Iowa area and she graduated from Holstein High School in 1945. Following her graduation, she stayed home with her parents to help them on the farm.

On June 1, 1948, she married Harley Fouts of Holstein, Iowa and enjoyed 63 wonderful years of marriage with him.

Lois was a very simple person who loved to dance, participated on a bowling league, was part of a “card club”, enjoyed baking cookies and many other favorites of her family, and always enjoyed a good party with friends. There was always a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and enjoyed watching them grow up into the great individuals they are today.

She also kept busy for many years being the “in-house” bookkeeper for a milk distributor business.

Survivors include: her husband, Harley of Aurora, CO, her daughters: Connie and her husband Rocky Boccaccio, and Donna and her husband Paul Urban of Arvada, CO, her sons: Rick and his wife Diane Fouts of St. Louis, MO, and Gene and his wife Laurie Fouts of Denver, CO. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Ryan & Jason Boccaccio, Elizabeth, Rebecca, Natalie, and Jacob Fouts and 1 great grandchild, Alexis Boccaccio.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 21, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014.
