1927-2018
Preceded in death by husband Jim & son Jeff. Survived by her step-son Rob Chapman. She received a Master’s Degree in Education. She was a teacher in the Jefferson County Public Schools and was a Library Specialist. Lois received the Distinguished Teacher Award in 1984 from Jefferson County Schools. She was active in international reading and developed libraries in schools in Jefferson County. After retiring, she worked as a staff developer and consultant for public education. Lois traveled to all seven continents. Her volunteer work involved many jobs at her church and jobs that enhanced reading, literacy and children.
