Lois Virginia Kershner, age 89, died at Manor Care Convalescent Home in Denver, Colorado, on Wednesday, August 22, 2018. The cause was failure to thrive and heart congestion.
Lois was born March 19, 1929, in Port Carbon, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Eugene M. and Vesta G. Rotz. On September 5, 1948 she married J. Franklin Kershner, who passed away in August 2002. Together they lived in Allentown, Pennsylvania for many years before settling in Denver.
Lois is survived by her two daughters: Joann Dege, of Priest Lake, Idaho, and Judith Myers, of Castle Rock, Colorado; and by her son-in-law Steve Dege, and grandson Parker Myers. She resided at Heather Gardens in Aurora, Colorado, and is remembered by her many friends and family across the country for her creativity in arts & crafts, her love of music and animals, and her lively personality.
A memorial service and burial was held Friday, August 31st at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
