Lois Eileen Lehman, age 87, died in her home in Thornton on July 8, 2023. She was surrounded by family and friends. Lois was born in Glenwood Springs but grew up in nearby Rifle. She was a graduate of Rifle High School. She spent most of her life in the Denver area. In 2005 she met a local racer by the name of Joe Lehman. They were married on March 11th, 2008. Lois worked in the catering business for many years, after retiring she took on the job of Pit Crew Chief for Joe's Number 6 Racecar. They spent many years traveling and racing on the vintage circuit making many friends along the way. Lois took great joy in her family, flowers, and the racing community. She loved talking about her grandkids and what they were doing in their lives. The racing community was a bright spot for her and she would always talk about the antics of the racing family that she loved. She is survived by her husband Joe Lehman, 3 sons, Blair, RJ (Linda), and KC (Kris) Everett, 7 Grandchildren, Dustin, Lara, Tyler, Kyle, Troy, Ryan Everett, and Melody Lehman. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and countless friends. She is preceded in death by her sister Barbara Jean Worthen, and her son Vaughn Craig Everett. Funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty, 9988 Grant St. on Friday, July 21st at 11:00 am with a reception to follow. A private burial will take place at Ft. Logan at a later date.
