Lois Buckley Antonelli passed away in Denver on August 7th at the age of 88 at her home at Brookdale University Park. She was born on October 24, 1933, in Denver to James D and Genevieve (Schmitz) Buckley but spent her early years in the family home in Silver Plume, CO.
Returning to Denver she attended St. Mary’s Academy and Loretto Heights University where she developed lifelong friendships and strong ties with the Sisters of Loretto. A fourth generation native Coloradan, Lois loved our state and was proud of her pioneering ancestors who arrived shortly after the Civil War began in 1861.
Lois is pre-deceased by her brother Raymond Buckley, sister Rosemary (Buckley) Dines, and survived by her brother Daniel.
Lois leaves behind her children Therese (Doug) Landin, Phil (Jennie) Antonelli, Cecilia (Wade) Goergen, Mark (Anne) Antonelli and eight grandchildren. Services to honor her life will be held on September 17th at 11 AM, Horan and McConaty 5303 East County Line Road Centennial, CO 80122.
