Lonnie Garvin Woods

Lonnie Garvin Woods, 74, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away October 29, 2018 following a battle with Pancreatic cancer. Lonnie was born May 17, 1944 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Garvin Carter and Itty Rae Catherine Dishon Woods.

Lonnie married Dolly Levvie Hendrick on November 1, 1996. During his lifetime, Lonnie worked as a woodworker in many places including Los Angeles, Nevada and Colorado. He loved gardening, collecting classic die cast cars, trips to the mountains with Austin and spending time with his family and friends. He is loved and will be missed by many.

Lonnie is survived by his beloved wife, Ethel ""Dolly"" Woods; sons, Clifford Woods, Michael Woods and Thomas (wife, Cassie) Woods; step-children, Wendy (husband, Joe) Neer, Chad (wife, Hunter) Downer; seven grandchildren, Austin, Kirsten, Dillon, Jonathan (wife, Cheyenne), Thomas Jr., Ila and Aly; one great-granddaughter, Lilly; siblings, Christine West, Robert (wife, Kathy) Woods and sister-in-law, Jean Woods; also numerous nieces and nephews, many who were very, very special to Lonnie. Lonnie was preceded in death by son, Ronnie Woods; parents, Garvin and Itty Rae; and brother, Gary Woods.

A private celebration of Lonnie's life will be held at the Woods home in Aurora, on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 1:30-3:30pm, with tributes being shared at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Lonnie's memory to a cancer research organization of your choice.
