Loretta Lynn Veronica Bruns

Loretta Lynn Veronica Bruns or Laurie (71) as she is known passed away on October 13^th 2023.  She was born to Harry and Loretta Bruns in New York in 1951.  She graduated from Saint Mary’s Academy in Englewood CO in the class of 1969. College was a great time in her life where she made life-long friends. She attended Colorado University graduating in 1973 with majors in history and sociology. She worked as a stock broker for 15 years and the in health insurance sales. Laurie adored traveling the world, her favorite places were Paris and Puerto Vallarta.  After health issues caused her to slow down, she retired and spent her time passing on her passions to others.  Laurie was an inspiration with her love of literature to many children in her life. She bought children’s books for her goddaughters, her friends, all the children in her life, and all those she could. Laurie still found wonder and beauty in flowers and gardening, especially roses and lilies.  She stayed busy finding ways to care for others, while also enjoying a good party now and then.  She never missed her customary 4^th of July fireworks with friends.  Laurie was a very independent person, a loyal friend, and incredibly generous to all those around her. 

Funeral services will be held at Horan & McConaty on Colorado Blvd  November 28^th at 11:00am.  Flowers would be appreciated or a donation to your favorite charity in her memory.
