Loretta Mae Reigenborn

April 3, 1941 — December 31, 2011

Loretta Mae Reigenborn passed away quietly December 31, 2011 in Northglenn, Colorado. She was born April 3, 1941 in Sutherland, Nebraska to George and Edith Steudler. Her family lived in Paxton, Nebraska when she was a small girl and she attended a one room school in rural Keith County. She graduated from Paxton High School in 1959. After graduating she went to work for Good All Electric in Ogallala, Nebraska where she met her best friend of 56 years Carol, who was by her side when she passed. She met Edward Reigenborn of Julesburg, Colorado and they were married June 26, 1960. A daughter, Toni Kay, was born while they lived in Julesburg. She moved to Derby, Colorado in the Spring of 1962. Loretta and Edward bought their first home in Commerce City, where she lived to the present. Her husband was employed by Gary's Trailer Repair. They were blessed with two more children, sons Mark David and Rodney John. Loretta was a stay at home mother until 1975 she went to work for Western Electric in Denver, later retiring from Lucent in 2001. Loretta kept busy by helping other people and her greatest pleasure was watching her beautiful grandchildren grow up and attending all of their school activities. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband. She is survived by a daughter, Toni Kay Klocker and her husband William and their children Christopher, Robert and Danielle, all of Commerce City; son, Mark David and significant other Cathy and their children Billy and Calvin of Northglenn; and son, Rodney John of Commerce City. She is also survived by her sister, Phyliss Peak of Paxton, Nebraska; two nephews, Vance Peak and his daughter Rhiannon of Paxton, and Michael Peak, his wife Kelly and their daughters Tory and Sydney of Kearney, Nebraska. The Funeral Service will be held Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 10:00 AM, Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton. The Interment will follow at the Ovid Cemetery in Ovid, Colorado.
