Lori, 52, of Arvada, Colorado passed away November 1, 2015, after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Lori was born January 13, 1963, in Colorado to her proud and loving parents Dan and Eileen Moriarty. Lori has a brother Joe and a sister Shelly who love her dearly. Lori attended schools in the District 50 area and lived most of the life here in Colorado. Joe married a Lori who was privileged to share the name of Lori Moriarty. Joe and Lori had two beautiful girls Nicole and Kendra, who love their Aunt Lala. Shelly married Mark, who thought the world of Lori. The recent addition to the family was Kaden, who will now learn about Aunt LaLa through all the wonderful memories. We love Lori and we will cherish every moment, event, and memory. We will tell stories, laugh and cry together. We will miss and think of her everyday. Lori met Robin when she was 17 through Fellowship of Christian Athletes and they became instant friends. In 1993 they dedicated their lives together and began their journey. They loved to travel and spend time with family and friends from both Lori and Robin's side. Lori treasured the love and laughter shared amongst family and friends. Nearly 7 years ago, their lives changed when a small boy named Santos walked down their driveway and had a plan for himself and his soon to be brother Arlo. Lori and Robin fostered the boys until they officially adopted the two in December 2010 and they became a ""forever family"". Santos and Arlo, thank you for giving the gift of motherhood to your Mom Lori. Lori took to motherhood like a fish to water. She loved holding, caring, sharing and loving the boys. She will forever be in their hearts and be their guardian angel. We all will now have the honor of assuring the boys hear all about their Mom Lori from every aspect of her amazing life, personally and professionally. Lori truly loved her profession and the path she chose for Public Service; her 20 years with the Thornton Police Department and her time with Colorado and National Alliance for Drug Endangered Children. She had an amazing career and dedicated herself to many. On October 28, 2015, while in the chapel at Rose Hospital; Lori and Robin officially wed. It was a proud and loving moment for all. The smile on Lori's face said it all. Lori loved life, her family and friends and a prior to passing she told those she talked with ""I have had a blessed life"". She was able to share stories and tell all of us how much she loved us and we shared how much we loved her. Lori fought like a true champion, just as she did with everything in her life. Lori is survived by her spouse, Robin Hardman; children, Santos and Arlo; parents, Daniel & Eileen Moriarty; siblings, Joe (Lori Sue) and Shelly (Mark); nieces, Nicole and Kendra; and wonderful extended family & friends. A Celebration of Life honoring Lori will be Friday, November 13, 2015, beginning at 2:00 PM, at Mile Hi Church, 9077 West Alameda Avenue, in Lakewood, Colorado 80226.
