With heavy hearts, the morning of Thursday, February 22nd, we said goodbye to a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and dear friend, Lori Schmitz. She had a remarkable journey and touched many lives. Anyone who was blessed to have met her knows what an incredible spirit and love for life she had. We are relieved she is finally at peace and is free of the pain and struggles she endured from battling multiple sclerosis for nearly 24 years. Born on March 10th, 1958 in Denver, CO, Lori will be lovingly remembered by her husband and best friend Bill Schmitz, her daughters Carly (Jeff) Karlin and Amy (Mike) Haschke, her father Robert Chol, her sister Jeri Andrews, and her brother Greg (Heather) Chol. She will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and dear friends. Services will be held on Wednesday, February 28th at 2:00 p.m. at Horan & McConaty 7757 W 80th Ave, Arvada, 80003. In lieu of flowers, we kindly request donations be made in her name to either Freedom Service Dogs or The Rocky Mountain MS Center.
