Lorraine Anderson Hill Kahler was born in Superior, WI on 6/29/25 to Myrtle & Fred Anderson. She spent her growing up years and early adult years in Duluth, MN. She graduated from Denfeld High School, Class of '43. She worked for Oliver Iron Mining Co. as an IBM keypunch operator for 4 years. On 6/14/47 she married Henry Hill at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. They moved to Denver, CO in 1952. Henry passed 5/31/80. After Henry passed, Lorraine bought a condo in Heather Gardens, a retirement community of 4,000 in Aurora. She married Ray Kahler in 1992. They divorced. In Denver, Lorraine worked for Capitol Federal Savings, a family owned business, for 33 years, the last 16 years as Corporate Treasurer. She enjoyed working first for A.W. Hiner, Jr. and later for A.W. ""Bill"" Hiner, III. She took a 2 ½ year early retirement to care for her mother and they had a good time together. Lorraine was active in her church and enjoyed playing bridge - at one time playing in 9 groups. She also enjoyed traveling, reading and
working crossword puzzles. She was a member of Denver Chapter DT, P.E.O., former member of Messiah and Augustana Lutheran churches and the Heather Gardens Chapel. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Marilyn Litman and Dolores Aura, her brother Donald Anderson, her nephew Donn Bruce and her significant other for 7 years, Paul Linn. She is survived by nephews Jim Aura, Tom Aura and Todd (Lisa) Litman, nieces Bonnie (David) Hedquist, Kathy Weber and Shelly (Eric) Walters, 4 grandnephews, 1 grandniece, 2 great great grand nephews, 1 great great grandniece, 2 step-daughters Gail (Jack Gooch) Kahler and Karen (Jim) Clair and special friends Lynn Anderson, Shirley Belisle, Bev Johnston and her daughters Anne, Julie and Janet.
