Louis Anthony Gallo

Louis A. Gallo (Lou) passed away on July 12, 2011 after a short illness. He was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin on May 4, 1930, the son of Leopoldo and Giovanna Gallo. Lou was a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, earning a BBA Degree in Economics and Business Administration. He was employed by Johns Manville Corporation for 37 years, moving to Denver in 1972, serving in various positions including Divison Controller of the Fiber Glass Division and Manager in Corporate Internal Auditing. He retired in 1991. Lou is survived by his wife, Madeline of 54 years; two sons, Craig (Mary) of Centennial and Paul (Martha) of Winnetka, Illinois; a daughter, Karen (Michael) Day of Highlands Ranch; and five grandchildren, Katherine, Michael and Matthew of Illinois and Kevin and Scott of Highlands Ranch. Two sisters, Santinna (Frank) Tenuta and Frances (Richard)Hansen of Wisconsin also survive him. He is also survived by step grandsons, Brian (Erica) & Michael (Mallory) Petrelli; and two step great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by his mother and father and two brothers, Michael and Leo. Lou enjoyed fishing trips to Alaska, golfing, bowling in mixed leagues with Madeline and playing cards. A Memorial Vigil Service will be held Tuesday, 10:30 A.M., at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (one block to the west of Holly Street), in Centennial, Colorado. A private committal service will take place at Chapel Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Lou's name to the charity of your choice.
