Louis Hard, age 65, passed away in Parker, Colorado on May 20, 2022. Louis was born in 1957 in Floresville, Texas. Louis was the son of Rosita Hernandez and step-father Richard Hernandez. Louis grew up in Aurora, Colorado and graduated from Hinkley High School. One of Louis’ early jobs was in the plastics industry, an industry in which he was involved for over 35 years and in which he became a business owner of Hi-Tec Plastics and most recently, Colorado Custom Extruders. Louis also had several other entrepreneurial ventures, including plastic recycling, an archery range and an archery simulator business.
Louis enjoyed archery, bowling on a team, family gatherings, sitting on the deck with his dog, Bailey, and helping children and families who were in need in the Aurora community.
It was through his work in the plastics industry that he met and, in 1995, married Jan Sichler. The union brought together Louis’ children -- daughter Crystal Gallegos (Paul Gallegos) and son Louis Hard (Jennifer Zarate), with Jan’s two daughters, Stephanie Gombos (Dave Martino) and Heather Connor (Zach Connor). Louis loved his family and enjoyed family get togethers that included his nine grand-children who called him “Papa Louis”: Angelica, Paul Jr., Louis, Lorenzo, Gage, Gavin, Cruze, Haddon and Adelayde. Louis’ wife, children, step-children and grand-children survive him. Louis is also survived by mother Rosita, step-father Richard, special Aunt Angie Fitzgerald, brothers Frank Hard (Joy), Rick Hard (Norma) and Tully Hard (Leslie), sister La Donna Aldridge (Matthew Aldridge) and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his brother, Ricky Hernandez.
