Louise Jensen

d. May 17, 2019

Carol Louise Hanson was born in farm country western Montevideo, Minnesota. Early in her life, family moved to Niles, Michigan in the southwest part of state. She took piano lessons as a girl; piano was something she would do the rest of her life.

After high school she attended Rutgers University in New Jersey. Her original major was veterinary medicine. Her studies changed to major in education and computers, and she graduated there. She attended University for graduate studies as well as moving to New Jersey. After a year, she quit school to become grade school teacher. Due to bad kids and school she got over teaching in one year.

Next on Sperry Corp. working on smart house application. Her part was technical writing of a manual for every new model which came out about every 6 months. When she found out about offices around the world to possibly transfer to, she jumped at the chance to move to U.K. and settled in Birmingham area. She continued building manuals for Sperry, then launched her own business building manuals for them, which turned out to be more enjoyable.

After 13 years in England, she moved back to states to Ruidoso, New Mexico where continued her business building manuals for Sperry. When Sperry had to have info fast and antiquated, phone company and service made it virtually impossible to send manual electronically; she then closed that chapter & started working for a local newspaper. She did a variety of things there, like build classified ads, commercial ads, and rewrite stories. Then she moved on to a local printing company creating copy and print jobs. She then married Scott Jensen on November 21, 1998. She also started a second business creating an asset, working with World Wide Dreambuilders and this time a retail store called The Cactus Flower. She got to use her creativity with decorating, arranging, picking, and buying wares to sell.

Next moved to her to northern Wisconsin and she was a catalog builder for the largest pet supply company in country, Drs. Foster & Smith. After 10 years, it was time for new adventure. So, she went off to the foothills west of Denver. She found employment at contractor doing work for the EPA, where she actually worked for two different companies.

January 2019 her body developed some new aches & pains. Those were diagnosed as colon cancer and it was already stage 4. She fought through chemotherapy and its side effects. Found out chemo wasn’t working on her and the side effects were knocking down something fierce. An oncologist advised that she entered hospice May 1 2019, only to taken back home to Jesus on May 17.

She is survived by her beloved husband Scott; her daughter Claire Hanson; her grandchildren Skylar, Corbin, and Julian; along with many other loving family members and friends.
