Louise M. Rice

Louise Martha Rice was born on April 26, 1921, in Ludell, Kansas, and passed away March 19, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her son Daryl (Judy) Rice; daughter Melanie (Tom Prunty) Graymire; grandchildren Heidi Rice, Wendy (Gilbert) Walter, Chris Rice, Ryan Rice, Amy (Tim) Precure and David Graymire; great-grandchildren Stephanie, Samantha, Nathaniel, Easton, Braylin and Jonathan; brother Albert Kastens; and sisters Joyce Domsch and Anita Focke. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert & Louise Kastens; husband Lindbergh Rice; son Randall Rice; sisters Lucile Wicke, Esther Rickenberg, Edna Wicke, Doris Hays and Irene Kastens; and granddaughter Heather Graymire. Louise was a strong Christian woman who read the Bible daily and was passionate in her Lutheran faith. She was a long-time member of University Hills Lutheran Church where she was actively involved. She was an incredible woman who was loved by anyone with whom she interacted. She was a cancer survivor, and always found the positive in any situation. A Bible passage that would exemplify her life is Jeremiah 29:13 – ""You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."" Family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2015, 6-8 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be Friday, March 27, 2015, 11 AM at University Hills Lutheran Church, 4949 E Eastman Avenue, Denver, CO 80222.
