Louise Martha Rice was born on April 26, 1921, in Ludell, Kansas, and passed away March 19, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. She is survived by her son Daryl (Judy) Rice; daughter Melanie (Tom Prunty) Graymire; grandchildren Heidi Rice, Wendy (Gilbert) Walter, Chris Rice, Ryan Rice, Amy (Tim) Precure and David Graymire; great-grandchildren Stephanie, Samantha, Nathaniel, Easton, Braylin and Jonathan; brother Albert Kastens; and sisters Joyce Domsch and Anita Focke. She was preceded in death by her parents Albert & Louise Kastens; husband Lindbergh Rice; son Randall Rice; sisters Lucile Wicke, Esther Rickenberg, Edna Wicke, Doris Hays and Irene Kastens; and granddaughter Heather Graymire. Louise was a strong Christian woman who read the Bible daily and was passionate in her Lutheran faith. She was a long-time member of University Hills Lutheran Church where she was actively involved. She was an incredible woman who was loved by anyone with whom she interacted. She was a cancer survivor, and always found the positive in any situation. A Bible passage that would exemplify her life is Jeremiah 29:13 â ""You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."" Family will receive friends Thursday, March 26, 2015, 6-8 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. A funeral service to honor and celebrate her life will be Friday, March 27, 2015, 11 AM at University Hills Lutheran Church, 4949 E Eastman Avenue, Denver, CO 80222.
