LuAnne Gideon Mitchell

LuAnne Gideon Mitchell, age 62, passed away in her home on August 2nd, 2024. She was a graduate of Heritage High School class of 1979 located in Maryville, Tennessee. She was a kind soul and proud of her southern heritage. She went on to raise three children, whom she loved dearly. She met her husband, Thomas Joseph Mitchell, in 1990 and they were married for 30 wonderful years.

She devoted her time to caring for her family and friends and enjoyed creating memories they will cherish. She loved to share her southern heritage through cooking and gardening with her famous cornbread and beautiful Colorado wildflowers.

She is survived by her husband, Thomas Joseph Mitchell, two daughters, April Evans and Victoria Mitchell with her husband Eli Root, and son, Derek Evans with his partner Melissa Davis, along with her grandson Isaac Evans. She is survived by her two brothers, Tim Gideon, and Mark Gideon alongside his wife Jill. She is also survived by many extended family members including many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and loving friends. She was preceded in passing by her mother, Barbara Hatcher Gideon, and father, Sanford Ray Gideon.

Funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty in Aurora, Colorado on Tuesday, August 20th at 11am. Burial services will take place at Fort Logan Cemetery later that day. There will be a family and friends gathering after the burial at the family home.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her honor.
