Lucas Isaiah Berrelez was born into the loving arms of Joshua Berrelez and Jacqueline Mascarenas on March 31, 2014. He passed away peacefully in his sleep and met the eyes of Jesus in the early hours of August 7, 2015. He is survived by his parents, as well as his paternal grandparents, Moses and Dianna Berrelez; aunts and uncles, Izzle and Monica Sanchez, Matthew and Yvette Berrelez ; beloved cousins; and great-grandparents, Ramon and Delia Martinez. He is also survived by his maternal grandparents, Steven and Kathy Mascarenas; aunt, Julie Mascarenas; and great-grandparents, Thomas and Stella Mascarenas. He was greeted in Heaven by his great-grandparents, Eduardo and Alicia Berrelez and Gale and Dorothy Oliver. A public viewing will be held on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 4-8pm at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel in Arvada. Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 15, 2015 at 9:30am at Flatirons Community Church in Genesee, with a brief viewing from 9-9:30am. Burial services for Baby Lucas will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest, immediately following the funeral. We will be returning to Flatirons Community Church for the reception. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Lucas Isaiah Berrelez Memorial Fund which is in care of U.S. Bank in Commerce City.
