Lucille Romero, 81, of Denver passed away on March 23, 2022.
Lucille was a native to Colorado born in Denver on November 1, 1940. She was the oldest of three children of Raymond and Lena Terranella. Lucille spent her childhood days growing up in North Denver, in what was formerly known as “Little Italy” with her two sisters, Mary and Fran.
Lucille married John Charles Romero III on October 30, 1965. Many years she had secretarial roles at the Denver Institute of Technology and other banks and colleges. She was devout and active in the Roman Catholic Church. She lived each day connected to the Catholic Church in how she raised her family, in her many prayer groups and friendships, in her relationships with her sisters, and how she cared for her grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She devoted her days taking care of her two children and then later embracing the grandmother role to her grandchildren.
Lucille is survived by her son, John Christopher Romero IV, and daughter, Cheryl Romero-Ward, her two grandchildren, Gabriel Ward, and Lena Ward, and her two sisters and their families.
To know Lucille was to love Lucille. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends, and we hold her in our hearts always.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Lucille's honor to The American Cancer Society.
