Luke Nelson Peterson

Luke Nelson Peterson, 31, tragically passed away on March 16, 2025. He adored his wife, Alex, and was a loving and dedicated father to Charlotte, 9, and Luca, 7.

Luke grew up in Evergreen and Highlands Ranch, Colorado, before moving with his family to Australia in 2008. After graduating in 2011 from Hillcrest Christian College, located in Gold Coast, Australia, he returned to Colorado, where Luke found his calling in the brewing industry. At the time of his death, he was the Marketing and Design Manager for Great Divide Brewing Company.

Luke was a talented artist and writer. He was passionate about sports, especially the Denver Nuggets and Denver Broncos, and loved talking and playing sports with his son. Luke also cherished reading and enjoyed sharing his childhood favorites with his children.

Luke is survived by his wife, Alex Peterson; children, Charlotte and Luca Peterson; parents, Rich and Cynthia Peterson; his brother, Jack (Tyla) Peterson; his sisters, Paige and Bing Bing Peterson; his niece, Diana Peterson; and his grandparents, Chick and Elsie Peterson. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends also mourn his death.

Luke will be remembered by his family and friends at the Great Divide Barrel Bar, 1812 35th St, Denver, CO, on Saturday, March 29, 2025, 2-5 pm.
