Lynda S. Dalton

April 23, 1943 — June 15, 2012

Lynda was born in Russell, KS to Wallace F. Paschal and Dorothy Nichols Paschal on April 23, 1943. She and her brother Dell were raised in Luray, St. John and Hutchinson, Kansas. During that time, extended family, aunts and uncles, played an important part in their life. She attended the University of Kansas. She was a single mother raising her daughter Hollie in Denver, in the mortgage banking business, when she met Robert K. Dalton (Bob). They were married in February, 1977 (neither of them profess to know the actual date??) Shortly thereafter she retired to raise her family, now including son, Bobby. The focus of her life then became her family whether in Denver or at their cabin in Grand Lake. Her children and then her grandchildren took to the cold water of Grand Lake, providing Lynda and Bob countless hours of first supervision and then proud observation of water skiing and sailing. In addition to her family, particularly in recent years, she focused on her many, many dear friends. They had great times together on many fun girls trips and plenty of laughs over thousands of hands of bridge. She is survived by her husband Bob, their children Hollie (Lubchenco) of Mission Hills, Kansas, and Bobby of Denver and Hollie's husband David and their grandchildren Ren and Nina. She is also survived by her brother Dell Paschal of Hutchinson, Kansas. She will be greatly missed by both friends and family. Life with out her light, laughter and love is not imaginable. Contributions in Lynda's memory may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church or to the Grand Lake Yacht Club Sailing Foundation. There will be a private memorial service for her family. On July 10, 2012, there will be a gathering of her family and friends to celebrate and remember her, at the Denver Country Club, 6 to 8 PM.
