Lynda S. Dreiling

September 2, 1947 — July 7, 2013

Lynda Sue Dreiling, 65, of Denver, died Sunday, July 7th. She was born to the late Howard and Lorena McCoy, Sept. 2, 1947, in Russell, KS. Lynda graduated from Russell High School in 1965 and received a BA in Elementary Education from Fort Hays State University in Hays, KS in 1970. She married James Dreiling in 1966, and they moved to Colorado in 1970. Lynda was a Certified Public Accountant and began her career with Elmer, Fox & Co. In 1985, she was named the first female Partner at Arthur Young, and was one of only two female partners in Denver's Big Eight accounting firms. After spending over two decades in public accounting, Lynda held many senior executive roles at several corporations before starting her own highly regarded executive recruiting firm, DreilingWest, in 2003. Lynda was an active attendee of Colorado Community Church and was involved in several bible studies with dear friends. She loved all sports, from her beloved Denver Broncos, Colorado Rockies, and Denver Nuggets to cheering on as her children played/coached at area high schools. She loved to golf and play cards. Lynda is survived by two children: Tarrah (Bill) Brandsma of Parker, CO and Tyler (Trisha) Dreiling of Castle Pines North. She also is survived by four grandchildren, Teagan (7), Tatelyn (5), Trey (1) Brandsma and Sophia Dreiling (11 mos). In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made out to Porter Hospice, 5020 E. Arapahoe Rd., Centennial, CO 80122 or Valor Christian High School Scholarship Fund, 3775 Grace Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO 80126. A memorial service will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 19th at Crosswalk Fellowship, 3651 S. Colorado Blvd., Englewood, CO 80113.
