Lynn Dominic "Dom" Carmody

December 3, 2000 — March 26, 2025

Centennial

Lynn “Dominic” Carmody, our beautiful boy “Dom”, 24, was born on December 3, 2000, and decided to leave this world on March 26, 2025. While the pain of this loss is immeasurable, we know in our hearts that he is finally at peace.

Dom is survived in this world by his dad, Lynn “Michael”, his mom, Anna, his two younger brothers, Nolan and Reece, and the family dog, Eva. He is also survived by his paternal grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Dom is now reunited with his dear Uncle Matt and maternal grandparents.

Dom was kind, likeable, determined, resourceful, curious, sweet, smart, and intense. As a child, he was known for his long eyelashes and round glasses. Dom loved creating silly videos and YouTube channels hoping they would go viral. As he grew, he became an amazing skier, mountain hiker/biker, fisherman, and avid photographer/videographer. He was very tech savvy and had a passion for building - and rebuilding - computers, learning and investing in crypto, and driving fast cars. He had an adventurous and entrepreneurial spirit with a knack for chemistry. He had amazing, wild hair often topped with a beanie or hat. He loved sushi. His smile was infectious, and his laugh was pure.

Behind Dom’s bright light was a constant struggle. He lived with the weight of mental illness and addiction - burdens he carried with incredible strength and resilience. These challenges were just one part of his story, but they were real and made life incredibly hard at times. Dom often felt other people’s inner chaos and helped them by sharing his story. Though he gave so much love to the world, he sometimes struggled to find that same love for himself. His life reminds us that being human means carrying both joy and sorrow, that we are all a mix of light and dark, and that even the most radiant souls sometimes find themselves lost in the shadows.

Rest your mind, sweet Dom – you are both the sun and the stars – and your light will never fade.

A private viewing for Dom’s family will be held on Saturday, April 5th. Dom will be memorialized at Cremation Gardens in Centennial, CO – close to his lovely neighborhood with a beautiful view of the mountains. It will be a place where we can go to remember him, grieve him, laugh with him, and just be with him. Celebrations of his life will take place at a later time.

We invite you to share memories, pictures, videos and stories by signing the guestbook. Dom lives on in the stories we share, the love we hold, and the moments that remind us of him. Every time we play a favorite song, ski the peaks of Colorado, cast a fishing line, or drive a little too fast, we keep his spirit alive and remember the way he made us feel. Grief is the echo of love, and in that love, Dom will never truly be gone.

In memory of Dom, we welcome donations to FullCircle – a nonprofit organization that works with young adults, like Dom, struggling with addiction and emotional health. Dom was a member of this incredible, supportive community and most importantly, it is a place where he felt loved and accepted. To donate, go to the following link: FullCircle. Please check if your employer will match the donation by typing your company name in the search box and enter “Dom Carmody” for first and last name in the “In Memory of Gift” dropdown box.
