Colorado Blvd. (at Mississippi Ave.) Services are to be at 10:00 am Tuesday, December 16 at Saint John's Episcopal Cathedral in Denver. The Rt. Rev. William C. Frey and the Rev. James Harlan will officiate with assistance from the Rev. Canon Poulson Reed and others. An additional visitation in Nashville, TN is to be at 9:30 am Thursday, December 18 at St. Bartholomew's Church with services at 11:00 am. Graveside committal services are to be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The Rt. Rev. William C. Frey will officiate with assistance from the Rev. Dr. Jerry Smith and others. Born in Nashville, TN, Lynn was the daughter of Ronald Lafayette Voss and Margaret Price Voss. After receiving her elementary education at both the Parmer School of Nashville and Gulfstream Elementary in Delray Beach, FL, she went on to graduate high school with honors from Harpeth Hall in Nashville. She made her debut at the International Debutante Ball in Versailles, France. She pursued her higher education at Hollins College and at the Sorbonne University of Paris. She married Wylie Hubbard Ewing of Wheeling, WV and later that year she graduated with a degree in Psychology. Lynn and Wylie lived in Florida and then in California before settling in Colorado. There they had two sons and joined an Episcopal community led by the Rt. Rev. William C Frey and his family. They forged a new set of lifelong friends that became as family. Lynn ultimately returned to Nashville and renewed her life, centered upon friends, family and the community of St. Bartholomew's Church. She dedicated much of her time to caring for her mother but sorely missed the household and the Rocky Mountains. Lynn felt called to return to life with the Freys and moved to San Antonio, TX, aiming to join friends and family in retirement. After she took the opportunity to add a second home so she could be near her sons and her beloved mountains, she began to develop memory problems. When her problems worsened, she received a probable diagnosis of early onset Alzheimer's disease. As she drifted away from independence, many friends and family that had known her thoughtful care were then able to help care for her. Her sons moved her to be near them in Denver. At the end of her life Lynn was surrounded by loved ones. The blessings she received and bestowed to others were reflected warmly upon her, and she was held up to God as His child. Friends and family kept vigil with her until she passed away, free of her struggles with the disease, free to be at home with the Lord. Survivors include two sons, Edwin W. Ewing and George H. H. Ewing, both of Denver and one brother, Edwin P. Voss of Delray Beach, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to Denver Hospice, Heifer International or the charity of one's choice. Thank you so much for everyone's care, thoughts, prayers and offers to help. As a family we want everyone to have anything they need, including information. Please email or call us or Horan & McConaty Funeral Home. We are so grateful. Much love, George, Edwin and Elise
