Lynne Ellen Chardoulias

Lynne Ellen Chardoulias, 72, of Aurora, CO passed away Sunday, December 29, 2019 at her home.

Lynne was born May 15, 1947 in State Center, Iowa to Melvin (Bud) Leonard and Esther Louise (Gould) Riley. She graduated from West Marshall High School. She continued on to get a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the University of Iowa. She was united in marriage to George Chris Chardoulias on April 26, 1988. Lynne worked for over 45 years as a Business Administrator in multiple industries (Software Development, Dental, Legal). After retirement, Lynne served on the Home Owner's Association Board. Lynne was very active traveling with her husband, gardening, and staying fit. She enjoyed anything in the outdoors including kayaking, camping, bird watching, and hiking. She loved sports, especially the Iowa Hawkeyes. She adored her dog Ellie Mae. She had a giving spirit and could regularly be found helping her friends and neighbors. Lynne would drop everything to help those she loved.

Lynne was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Brad Schoer.

Lynne will be missed by her husband; George, children; Chris Chardoulias of Glenwood, Iowa, Jessica Chardoulias of Golden, CO, sister; Peggy Schoer of Marshalltown, Iowa, nieces; Meri (Chris) Edel, Julie (Tim) Mull, Jodi (Jeff) Duffy, and countless friends.

Funeral Services will be at 3:00 p.m., Monday, January 6, 2020 at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO 80014. Visitation will be at 2:00 p.m at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to The V Foundation (v.org), St. Jude's Hospital (stjude.org), and Best Friends Animal Society (bestfriends.org).
