Lynnelle Kay Mundt, age 65, passed away on November 28th at 12:32 pm, from complications of the heart, with her beloved son by her side.
Lynnelle is predeceased by her parents Lars Helga and Alice Linnea Karlson. Lynnelle is survived, and missed, by her son Justin Mundt, his wife Lauren, and their daughters Kenadie and Mikayla. Her brother Milton Larson, his wife Dianna, their four children Heather Jackson, Kyle Larson, Kirk Larson, Halley Smith, and nine grandchildren. And, Lynnelle’s longtime friend, Glenda Emond, along with many more loved friends and family members.
Born August 19, 1957 in Syndey, Nebraska, Lynnelle grew up on the family farm. She often shared fond memories of small-town life, and driving the tractor through the fields. This is where her love for animals, specifically barn kittens, began. Lynnelle was involved in many school activities, including volleyball, and band. She attended the University of Nebraska, where she met her former husband and eventually moved to Colorado. They were blessed with their son, Justin.
Lynnelle is well known for her 21 years of dedicated service to the community at the Broomfield Workforce Center. Lynnelle lived a full life. She enjoyed celebrating happy hour with friends, was dedicated to making her famous "crack popcorn" and assorted treats each year for Christmas, but more so, loved her Granddaughters dearly. She didn't shy away from a weekend getaway in Las Vegas or rewarding herself with a massage and manicure. Her loving spirit, open heart and die-hard fandom for Husker football will be missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 31st from 3:30-6:30pm in the Lakeshore room at the Broomfield Community Center at 280 Spader Way, Broomfield, Colorado 80020.
