M. Berniece Patten Poucher

Patten Poucher, M. Berniece (Lay) Jan. 2, 1919-Jan. 11, 2013 Berniece passed away peacefully in the Sedgwick County (CO) Hospital at the age of 94. She was born in Ridgeville, Indiana. Preceded in death by her parents, Harry Joseph Lay and Ruby Hazle Wise, and one brother Samuel C. Lay. Also preceded in death by two husbands, John C. Patten and Owen R. Poucher. She is survived by her loving children Janet Howitt, Barbara Palmer Atwater and son-in-law Bruce Atwater, John Steven Patten and William Scott Patten and daughter-in-law Renee Patten; 10 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by wonderful extended family and great friends. She was employed at Van Schaack & Co, Realtors for 17 years before retiring in 1981. A Service and Celebration of her Life will be held at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada, CO 80003, on Thursday, January 17, 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery 7777 West 29th Avenue Wheat Ridge, CO 80033. In lieu of flowers, contributions suggested to a charity of your choice.
