Mabel ""Gorgeous"" Gutierrez

Mabel Gutierrez, 85, died June 26, 2017, after declining health over the past 10 years, with family at her side. She had a strong belief in God, and is now at peace with our Lord and Savior in heaven. Before her death, she celebrated 60 years of marriage to her husband, Frank Gutierrez. Mabel was a long-time resident of Denver, Colorado, she moved to Denver with her brother Ted. She worked as a leather craftsperson for more than 20 years. Family was very important to Mabel and she loved spending time with them (her beloved children: Debbie (Tilio ""Jr.""), Caroline (Gunar), and Valerie (Gus), grandchildren Timmy (Kelly) and Johnny, great grandchild Israel, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, (their spouses) and family friends. Mabel was a very accomplished woman. In her free time she enjoyed her hobbies: remodeling her home, gardening, sewing, ceramics, quilting and cooking. When not crafting, she enjoyed camping, fishing and gambling. She has shared her love and never-ending wisdom with everyone she met. Our hearts have been tenderly touched. It is time she gets the rewards she so richly deserves. Our hearts are overflowing with great love for her. Mabel is preceded in death by her beloved parents Benjamin and Maria, stepmother Julia Romero; son-in-law Tilio ""Jr."" Maestas and siblings Juanito Romero, Celinita Romero, Polly (Bennie) Lucero, Fred (Ann) Romero, Nelson Romero, Frances Ruiz, Pat Romero, Leroy Romero, Angelo Romero, and Ted Romero. Survived by Frutoso (Prudy) Romero, Martha Romero, Celina (Duane) Davis, Arlene (Denis) Duchesne Tommy (Elena) Romero, Richard (Linda) Romero, Orlando Romero, Phillip Romero, Kelly (Linda) Romero. A Memorial Service will be held at All Saints' Lutheran Church located at 15625 East Iliff Ave., Aurora, CO. Reception to immediately follow at All Saints'.
