MaDonna Rose Arneson

October 21, 1938 — December 11, 2015

MaDonna Rose Arneson (Keegan), 77, of Lakewood Colorado, passed away on December 11, 2015 after battling lung cancer. She was at peace and surrounded by her children. She was born in Grand Forks, North Dakota on October 21, 1938. MaDonna attended St. James High School in Grand Forks, North Dakota. Later she went on to work as a phone operator and as a beautician. But her real pride came in taking care of her husband and children. She was an excellent homemaker. When you think about MaDonna you probably think about her exceptional handiwork. She was a fantastic seamstress, loved working on her quilts, and enjoyed cross stitching. She is preceded in death by her husband of almost 50 years, Richard Arneson; her parents, James Cauley Keegan and Anna Mae Levi; and her brothers James Keegan and Lyle Keegan. Her three children miss her dearly: Tracy Arneson Luck (Kevin) – Highlands Ranch, CO Jeff Arneson (Jennifer) – Springboro, OH Heather Arneson Caldwell (Nathan)– Fort Collins, CO She just loved her seven grandchildren to pieces; Ashlee, Morgan, Fin, Piper, Molly, Breckin, and Ellie. MaDonna came from a big family and while her two brothers have passed she still remains in the hearts of Mary Loeffler (Paul), Veronica Boushee (Robert), Rita LeQuire (Gene), Kathleen Atencio (Ancelmo), and Richard Keegan. Along with them, she is survived by many nieces and nephews around the country. MaDonna and Richard's faith was very strong and important to them through their lives. Therefore, instead of flowers, we request that donations be made to: The Little Sisters of the Poor 3629 West 29th Ave Denver, CO 80211 The funeral will take place at: Monday, December 21st at 10:00 am Notre Dame Catholic Church 2190 South Sheridan Blvd. Denver, CO 80219 Immediately following, the internment will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery. We have many memories of MaDonna as a mother, sister, friend. As a family, we would love to hear any stories or memories you have to share.
