Magdelyn ""Lyn"" Sabichi, M.D.

Magdelyn ""Lyn"" Sabichi, M.D. 84, passed away February 10, 2013. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Francisco, daughters Anita (Felipe Samaniego) and Lisa (Wayne Jochem), sister Bonnie Re (Charles), and brother John Stucki (Arlene) and several nieces and nephews. She graduated from CU Medical School in 1954 and subsequently specialized in Internal Medicine. She joined the Colorado Kaiser Permanente Medical Group as one of the early female physicians in January of 1970 and retired in 1994. During retirement, she served with Francisco as a Rotary volunteer dedicated to improving the quality of life and healthcare in several developing countries. She was an accomplished amateur photographer through which she captured and shared the beauty and spirit of people, nature, and her beloved mountains. She was an avid hiker and backpacker and successfully summited all 54 of the 14, 100-foot Colorado peaks. She touched the lives of many people, was dearly loved and will be sorely missed. Services will be held 10:00 AM Friday, Feb. 15, at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Denver Rotary Club Foundation, 1900 Grant St., Ste. 850, Denver, CO 80203.
