Marcella C. Cabral

Marcella C. “Marty” Cabral was born on September 22, 1947, in Greeley, Colorado, to Joe Porfirio Gonzales and Catarina (Torres) Gonzales. She was 71 years old when she passed away on November 15, 2018, at Lutheran Hospital.

Marcella was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Catarina, and her sister Cruz Marie Martinez. She is survived by her husband Charles Cabral; children Carlos Martinez, Charlene Martinez, John and his wife Rosalie Martinez and Brian Martinez; grandchildren Cheree Martinez, Jade Martinez Anthony and his wife Eva Martinez, Brian James Martinez and Jesse Ray Martinez; great grandchildren Tyana, Tyvante, Tylaya, Liyana and Destiny.

Marcella was raised in the Catholic church. She worked as a lab technician in Optometry at Duffens Contact & Eye Manufacturer (now Duffens Optical) here in Denver. Marcella loved to shop, cook and entertain family and friends especially on holidays and Bronco football games. She was an avid Broncos fan and loved watching them play!! She also loved to go to the casinos and gamble as well as play the scratch tickets and lottery.

But the best thing about Marcella was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, godmother, sister, aunt and friend. She loved Everyone and Everyone loved her. She will be sorely missed by all of us.

Marcella’s Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 24th at 11:00 am., Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3020 Federal Boulevard, Denver. Committal Services will be held at a later date.
