Marcia Griffin Voss, 74, passed away peacefully on January 10, 2025, at her home in Centennial, CO, surrounded by her family. Born March 4, 1950, to Carl and Suzanne Griffin in Buffalo, NY., she grew up in Hamburg, NY; Camp Hill, PA; and Long Beach, IN.
She graduated from Elston High School in 1968 and from Indiana University in 1972 with a degree in Education. She was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. When traveling to Denver to visit her sister after graduating, she fell in love with the Rocky Mountains and learning to ski. Marcia married Kieffer Voss on June 14, 1980, in Denver. She received her Master’s Degree from University of Northern Colorado and went on to teach in Littleton Public Schools for 30 years.
Shortly after their marriage Marcia and Kieffer joined the Denver Country Club, where she was involved with the DCC youth Swim and Dive Teams. She also learned how to play golf and bridge, which she enjoyed for many years. She loved traveling with family and friends, reading, and attending craft fairs. Marcia especially loved the garage sales she hosted with her great friend Cheryl O’Brien. These events became a source of laughter and entertainment for the whole family. She was also a member of the famous Foggies Bridge Group that played bridge each week and took multiple memorable and fun trips to La Jolla and Breckenridge.
For forty years, Marcia brought immense joy to her children, granddaughters, nieces, nephews, and grandnieces, and grandnephews by gifting them personalized Christmas ornaments. These depicted a significant event in their lives that year. They will always treasure these special mementos from their mom, Grammy, and “Ant” Mar. Marcia was deeply loved by her family and many dear friends. She will always be remembered for her dedication to family, her passion for teaching, her loyalty to friends, and her great sense of humor.
